Gary Air Show Weekend

After the 2026 Gary Air Show was cancelled due to widespread storm damage in Northwest Indiana, organizers have confirmed intent to bring the show back in 2027, with the U.S. Air Force Thunderbirds slated to return roughly every other year going forward. The Aug 7-8, 2027 date appears on the Thunderbirds’ own preliminary tour schedule, but the South Shore Convention & Visitors Authority — the local organizing body — had not yet posted its own confirmed date as of this writing.
